Ethical Crush: Sustainable Nursing Tees

‘Ethical Crush?’ What is it?

Every week we feature a brand that aligns with our philosophy- a brand that we call our ‘ethical crush’. Every brand featured here has sustainable fashion at it core and strives to do its bit for the animals, the environment, workers.

Our ‘Ethical Crush’ this week is..

Milki Train | Nursing Clothes

What makes them different?

Making sustainable fashion accessible is at the very core of what Milki Train does. Milkitrain creates organic nursing tops that are just as pretty as they are practical. Alongside the fact that their designs are crafted from pure, GOTS & Oeko-Tex certified cotton, we also love the smart slits that make breastfeeding so so much easier. What is not to love about this brand?

We love them because

Milki Train is a brand committed to sustainable fashion. It's atelier located in Vietnam provides safe and fair working conditions to its employees. Milki Train's organic cotton is GOTS certified to guarantee its organic status and Oeko-Tex certified to confirm it is free of any harmful substances. Their snap buttons are also eco-friendly in that they ensure 65-75% water usage reduction per production cycle and the use of materials base colour to minimize electricity and water consumption.

Not only that, Milki Train has designed its packaging keeping sustainability in mind. It has partnered with EcoEnclose for it's 100% recycled and zero-waste packaging so that it's breastfeeding & baby t-shirts will be wrapped with love using only high-quality recycled and zero-waste materials. Milki Train does not stop here. It goes a step further. It's hangtags are made of sustainably harvested wood with SCS certification and hangtag strings are made of organic cotton and biodegradable plastic with GreenPla certification. Their ink also has the Greenguard Gold certification (certified for low chemical emissions).
